About Duangjai Legal
A practice built on listening and care
We started this practice because family matters deserve more than form-filling. They deserve time, attention, and people who genuinely care about what happens next.

How Duangjai Legal came to be
Duangjai Legal was founded in Bangkok by a small group of practitioners who had spent years working in larger firms and noticed a recurring gap: clients with family concerns often felt hurried, talked at rather than listened to, and left without a proper sense of what their choices really were.
The name Duangjai — which carries the sense of heart and intention — was chosen deliberately. It reflects what we believe family law should be: work done with a genuine interest in the people involved, not merely in the paperwork around them.
We opened our office on Convent Road in Bang Rak in 2017, focusing exclusively on family matters. Over the years we have helped individuals, couples, and families across Thailand and from abroad work through situations that touch on some of the most personal aspects of their lives — with patience, with discretion, and with their best interests as the steady compass.
We are not the largest family law practice in Bangkok. That is intentional. A smaller practice means every client works directly with a qualified lawyer, not a rotating team of junior staff. It means phone calls are returned, messages are read, and appointments are not rushed.
Our Mission
To offer clear, honest legal support for family matters in an environment where people feel safe to speak openly — and where decisions are made by the client, not for them.
Our Values
- Patience — we will not hurry you
- Honesty — we tell you what we actually think
- Confidentiality — what you share stays here
- Transparency — fees and scope are always clear
- Respect — for your pace, your choices, your dignity

How We Work
Standards we hold ourselves to
Lawyers Council Registration
All lawyers at Duangjai Legal are registered members of the Lawyers Council of Thailand and operate under its professional and ethical framework.
Strict Confidentiality Protocol
All client information is stored securely and shared only with the client's express consent. We do not discuss case details with third parties under any circumstances.
Written Scope & Fee Agreement
Before any paid work begins, we provide a written summary of scope and fees. Nothing proceeds without your written agreement, and no costs are added without prior discussion.
Thai Civil and Commercial Code
Our family law practice is grounded in the Thai Civil and Commercial Code, Books IV and V, governing family and succession matters within the Kingdom.
Bilingual Documentation
All agreements and formal documents can be prepared in both Thai and English where required, ensuring clarity for clients of all backgrounds.
Client-Led Pace
We do not push clients toward decisions. Every step is taken at the pace that the client considers appropriate, with full information provided before each one.
Family legal support in Bangkok — a considered approach
Family law in Thailand covers a wide range of personal matters — from the arrangements made when a marriage ends to the formal documentation of parental responsibilities and the protection of children's interests. These situations are rarely straightforward, and the emotional weight they carry calls for a different kind of legal support than a commercial dispute would.
At Duangjai Legal, we work exclusively in this area. That focus means our understanding of Thai family law — the statutes, the procedural steps, and the practical realities of how matters are handled in the Bangkok courts — is grounded in daily experience rather than occasional reference. Our clients include Thai nationals, mixed-nationality families, and expatriates based in Thailand who need clear guidance through processes that can be unfamiliar to those without a background in Thai civil law.
Our office on Convent Road sits in a part of Bang Rak that is easy to reach from Silom, Sathorn, and the riverside districts. The building is quiet and discreet — chosen deliberately so that clients can come and go without feeling exposed. Appointments are private; you will not be seated in a waiting room with other clients or asked to speak with more than one person unless you choose to.
We believe that people facing family difficulties deserve honest advice delivered with care — not a rehearsed pitch, not a hard sell, and not a rush to sign anything. That is the practice we have built, and it is what every client who walks through our door will find.
We are a quiet and steady presence when things feel uncertain.
If you have questions about a family situation — or simply want to understand your position more clearly — a conversation with us costs nothing but a little time.
